A Love Beyond Kingdoms

A Love Beyond Kingdoms

Hello guys, it's the 22nd of December, 2024, and I saw a dream—one so vivid, so intense that it felt like a memory from another life. My name is Tushar, and this is what I saw:

A Forbidden Love

It was the 12th century, a time of war, honor, and forbidden love. The sky was thick with the smoke of battle as the armies of two rival kingdoms clashed in a fierce war. Among them was a soldier, Willeh—26 years old, a warrior sculpted by years of hardship, with the physique of a lion and the spirit of an unyielding knight. His dark, middle-parted hair framed a face hardened by war yet filled with sorrow, for he had no family. Orphaned as a child, he was raised by the king himself, molded into the fiercest warrior of his land.

But fate had other plans.

As the battle raged, Willeh was struck down—not by an enemy’s blade but by exhaustion, wounds, and the weight of an unending war. Left behind as his army retreated, his world faded into darkness.

When Willeh opened his eyes, the war was gone. Instead, he found himself in a warm wooden cottage, the scent of fresh hay and milk filling the air. Soft, golden light streamed through the curtains, and beside him sat a woman—her beauty unlike anything he had ever seen. She had delicate features, kind eyes, and hair cascading over her shoulders like a river of silk. She was Claira, 22, a farm girl who lived with her aunt, tending to cows and the land. “You're awake,” she whispered, her voice as soft as the morning breeze. He tried to rise, but pain shot through his body. He groaned, and immediately, Claira placed a gentle hand on his chest. “You’re hurt. You need rest.” She had found him near her farm, collapsed, nearly dead. Despite the risk—he was a soldier from an enemy kingdom—her heart had not allowed her to leave him behind. Days turned into weeks. Claira cared for him, healing not just his wounds but his soul. She cleaned his injuries, fed him warm broths, and spoke to him during sleepless nights. She told him about her cows, her simple life, and the little joys of her world. And in those moments, Willeh felt something new—peace.

And love.

The Betrayal

But happiness is fragile. One evening, Claira overheard her aunt whispering, “There’s a soldier hiding in the village. Send word to the king.” Fear gripped Claira’s heart. She ran. She ran faster than ever before, her feet burning against the ground. She reached Willeh, breathless, and collapsed into his chest. He held her close, alarmed by the red-teared eyes staring back at him. “What happened?” “I love you, Willeh,” she whispered, her voice breaking. “But you need to go… otherwise, they—” Willeh silenced her with a kiss. A desperate, trembling kiss that spoke of love, fear, and an unspoken goodbye. “I will die, but I will never leave you,” Willeh swore. Claira held his face, her hands shaking. “Then take me with you. We’ll leave everything behind—run to the forests, find a home, just you and me.” They had no time. Willeh fled, trying to return to his kingdom, but fate was cruel.

The Ultimate Betrayal

When Willeh arrived, he was captured. His own king, the man who had raised him, stood before him with cold eyes. “This man is not Willeh,” the king declared. “Willeh died in battle. This is a traitor.” Before he could protest, they shackled him. The punishment? Execution. As they prepared to hang him, a scream shattered the silence. Claira. She had come for him. Rushing through the crowd, pushing past guards, she threw herself at his feet. “Please,” she sobbed. “Don’t take him away from me!” She fought, her delicate hands clenching the iron shackles around Willeh’s wrists. Tears stained her face, and for the first time, Willeh was afraid—not for himself, but for her. Because he wanted to live. He wanted to live for her. They ran. Through the chaos, through the fire of betrayal, they ran together. But the kingdoms wouldn’t let them go. Arrows flew like a storm behind them. They ran until Claira’s breath became ragged, until her legs gave out. Willeh turned to her, but something was wrong. She stumbled, falling into his arms. He caught her—only to see the arrow buried deep in her chest. “No…” His voice broke. His heart shattered. Claira looked at him with the same gentle eyes that had saved him once before. “We were so close,” she whispered. Tears streamed down Willeh’s face as he cradled her. “No, no, no—stay with me, Claira, please…” She smiled, her trembling fingers brushing against his lips one last time. “I love you, Willeh…” And then, she was gone. A roar of grief escaped Willeh’s throat. His body shook with the weight of his sorrow. The armies surrounded him, waiting for his fall. But they didn’t need to kill him. With shaking hands, Willeh pulled the arrow from Claira’s chest. He took one last look at her peaceful face. Then, without hesitation—he drove the arrow into his own heart. As the kingdoms watched, the warrior and his love lay together, entwined in death, their love untouchable, even by war.

And then I woke up.
